IOM has had a presence in Finland since 1993.

Our Work
Our WorkAs the leading inter-governmental organization promoting humane and orderly migration, IOM plays a key role to support the achievement of the 2030 Agenda through different areas of intervention that connect both humanitarian assistance and sustainable development. In Finland, IOM facilitates migrants’ integration, promotes development cooperation, assists victims of trafficking, and engages in refugee resettlement and migrants’ voluntary returns. IOM Finland’s operations cover Finland, Sweden and Iceland.

UN Village at the World Village Festival
What kind of world do you want to see in 2030? Come to the UN-tent at the World Village Festival in Helsinki at the end of May to envision a more sustainable world together with us!
UN and the UN organizations play a vital role in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (the SDG's). This year the organizations working on UN-themes will gather together under the same roof at the World Village Festival, at the UN Village. Welcome to discuss sustainable development and the goals of our work with us!
