Fruitful Discussion About the “Invisible” of Our Society
Helsinki – We organized a discussion about the people who often are not seen in our society: the undocumented migrants and the victims of human trafficking. Top level Finnish politicians and a representative of the Police Board discussed different aspects of how these people are treated and what the government does now and could do in the future.
Due to the vulnerable nature of these groups we had no representatives on the panel, but instead had interviews with two persons – one victim of human trafficking and one undocumented migrant – who could tell the audience about their experiences and life in Finland.
Even though it was a stunning +35 degrees we had a wide and active audience.
