Global Migration Data Analysis Centre (GMDAC)

Established in Berlin in September 2015, at the invitation of the Government of Germany, IOM's Global Migration Data Analysis Centre (GMDAC) aims to contribute to IOM's overall effort to compile, analyse and share data on international migration.

World Migration report

Since 2000, IOM has been producing world migration reports to contribute to increased understanding of migration throughout the world.

Migration Law Database

The online migration law database draws together migration related instruments and relevant norms regulating migration at the international and regional levels. The following sources of information are being included: relevant international, regional and bilateral treaties; international and regional resolutions, declarations and other instruments. The database will soon also contain relevant and prominent case law.

Missing Migrants

Missing Migrants Project tracks deaths of migrants, including refugees and asylum-seekers, who have gone missing along mixed migration routes worldwide. The research behind this project began with the October 2013 tragedies, when at least 368 individuals died in two shipwrecks near the Italian island of Lampedusa. Since then, Missing Migrants Project has developed into an important hub and advocacy source of information that media, researchers, and the general public access for the latest information.

Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM)

The Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) is a system to track and monitor the displacement and population mobility. It is designed to regularly and systematically capture, process and disseminate information to provide a better understanding of the movements and evolving needs of displaced populations, whether on site or en route. The actual interactive map can be found here.

Counter-Trafficking Data Collaborative (CTDC)

The Counter-Trafficking Data Collaborative (CTDC) is the first global data hub on human trafficking, with data contributed by counter-trafficking organizations around the world. It facilitates an unparalleled capacity for cross-border, inter-agency data analysis to provide the counter-trafficking movement with greatly improved evidence for policy and programming. CTDC is an iniative by the IOM.

IOM Twitter Dashboard

IOM's Twitter dashboard collates all the Organization's global, regional, special liaison office, mission and special projects accounts. It provides a single repository for all the latest news about IOM's work all over the world and in particular, latest updates on migration.
